About
Ahmad has been practising as a Registered Migration Agent since 2015.
Prior to his career in Immigration Law, Ahmad had a long career in IT, including working for several blue-chip multinational corporations.
He currently is the principal Registered Migration Agent at A2Z Consult. Following his entry to the profession, Ahmad quickly became well-known for his profound interest in several areas of immigration law and practice and has helped many hundreds of clients – both individuals and businesses – to achieve their migration outcomes.
Ahmad’s notable successes include achieving successful outcomes for clients in appeals at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal as well as Ministerial Interventions. Ahmad enjoys taking on complex cases and has a penchant for deep legislative and policy research, his areas of specialty include:

Ahmad is also a prolific immigration and citizenship law educator and has been authoring and teaching Continuing Professional Development/Continuing Legal Education (CPD/CLE) classes at the Migration Institute of Australia, which has led to him being awarded the prestigious Henry Giblett Award in 2023 by the Migration Institute of Australia. This award is granted to those with outstanding contributions in the area of migration law CPD and education, Ahmad is the 17th recipient of the award in the institute’s lifetime.
In addition to that, Ahmad holds the additional accreditation of Associate Fellow of the Migration Institute of Australia (AFMIA™), which is granted to those who have made significant contributions to the institute and to the migration profession.
Furthermore, Ahmad has been a member of the Migration Institute of Australia’s NSW/ACT state branch committee and currently holds the position of the state branch secretary. Recently, he was appointed to the institute’s Skilled Visa Program Advisory Panel, which is a panel of subject matter experts providing advice on policy and advocacy matters. Ahmad enjoys mentoring and supporting other practitioners and is often consulted on complex matters by his peers. Ahmad speaks both English and Arabic at a native-level fluency.
